Dr. Hiresan, M.D (ENT),Alumnus of DAV Boys Senior Secondary School, Gopalapuram addressed the students of classes 3 & 4 on the topic Healthy Daily routine.

CLASSES ATTENDED : XII
Krit Lunkad of 12C and Samyak L Jain of 12A had participated in the research science initiative summer program 2023 hosted by PSBB school in collaboration with IIT Madras. This was a 6 weeks residential program at the IIT Madras A presentation was made and presented by the students regarding their experience.. The illuminating presentation focussed on the necessity to ask questions and to drive home the message that there are no boundaries between various fields of science. The students conducted a seminar on the fundamental concepts from Tensors to Higgs Field and their two individual projects -Shape Memory Alloys and Quantum Dots. They also spoke about their visit to SASTRA University, Thanjavur, Chennai Mathematical Institute and Saint Gobain Glass Factory. The students of Classes11 and 12 science interacted about ethics, the protocols of a researcher and the true meaning of research.

A guest lecture was organised by the Indian Coast Guard on 23.06.'23. Deputy Commandant Dhaneswaran.P addressed the students of class 12 about the
"Activities and Responsibilities of Indian Coast Guard in Indian Maritime Domain" through a presentation.
The following Officers were also present at the premises

2. Deputy Commandant Dhaneswaran P ( Electrical Officer)
3. Surgeon Lieutenant Alfred Marshal (Medical Officer)
It was an inspiring and motivating session.

RESOURCE PERSON :
ShriYuvraj Srinivas, Non- commissioned officer, Special Forces deputed in Jammu and Kashmir as part of the anti-terrorism squad interacted with students and spoke about the the missions of Indian Army in successfully averting terror attacks without casualties.

CLASSES ATTENDED : XII Science
A seminar was conducted by a team of students who won laurels in ' Exons', the Biotechnology expo conducted by Sri Sankara Sr. Sec School. The events under discussion included Research and Development ( Paramesh Vaidhya of 11 D, Adithy Sai Vittal of 12 B, and Hemanth and Dhruv of 11 B had won first and second place respectively). Paper Presentation by Adarsh Chandramouli and Harshvaradhan who had shared the third place. Model exhibits and its explanation session were done by the team comprising Sanjay P and Nishok who had won second place. The seminar was conducted so that the students could understand the fundamentals of paper presentation and motivate them to take up research.

Dr. Tharun Kumar, a gold medalist in surgery and silver medalist in paediatrics and general medicine, addressed the students on mental, physical and social wellbeing. The speaker emphasised the negative influence of social media among students and on ‘failure- the stepping stone for success'.
